Sweet and Delightful Iced Drinks Served at Home in an Instant!



When it comes to choosing what flavor do you want to mix with frappes, Chocolate is always present from the menu! its the most best selling, addicting and most of all, it is always available in every local grocery stores. Based from your own preference, you can pick whether you want it to be cold or you like it to be hot. But focusing on the most important part, personal preference of taste or our own taste preferences vary depending on the degree of flavor what we like. These personal preferences, made us to become "choosy" or detectives, investigating whether that coffee shop or cafe's provide the flavor what we like. Then if that so, good news! Nowadays you can do just anything with just a few clicks on the internet and simply walking at a nearby grocery or convenient stores, for sure they offer variety of ready made food products and it is easy to make one. Just like we did with this sweet chocolate iced frappe and coffee.

Who could someone not resist the aroma and taste of coffee, and the sweet taste of chocolate drinks --- may it be hot, frappe, or iced. In Metro manila (Philippines), Coffee shops are now the trend to have a chitchat, barkada reunions, a place to review or study, or to have a work meeting, etc for young and adults.

With these “drink trends” I thought that I can share with you one of my trip on how to enjoy coffee shop drinks at home that can be shared to everyone.

Before we start, what I did was an iced chocolate and coffee drink since some of us do not want the texture of shaved ice.

What you need:

•        For iced coffee drink – you can use 3-in-1 coffee mix or manually blend the flavor you want in your coffee. For me, I think brewed coffee will be the best choice! But since it’s not available I chose to use what is available in the fridge because it tend to taste creamier and have stronger flavor than the instant 3-in-1 – Nestle Coffee Mate, Maxwell House Black Coffee (they taste better than with a mix of nestle black coffee and nestle coffee mate hehe).
•          For Iced Chocolate drink – I used Goya Everyday chocolate mix drink and the Swiss Miss dark chocolate flavor.
•          Sugar to taste
•          Hot and cold water
•          Ice
•          Whip Cream (I like the taste and the creaminess of this Hopla whip cream although it’s consistency as a whip cream tends to melt in seconds.
•          Chocolate syrup and chocolate/coffee sprinkles (Optional) 

What to do:

1. Put the coffee or chocolate mixture in a cup.
2. Pour ¼ cup of hot water in the mixture just to dissolve it. Stir well.
3.  Pour a cold water. Stir. (Remember not to fill up the whole cup because we’ll be putting ice and whip cream.)
4. What I did next is: I put the coffee mix in a water bottle together with some ice then shake it (like what I am seeing when I buy Milk teas). You may also skip this step and just put the ice on the cup.
5.  Last is, put a whip cream on the top of your favorite drink for a creamier and for a coffee shop 
6. Putting some chocolate or coffee sprinkles and chocolate syrup is optional. 

Aaaand, you’re done! J

Tip: you can also add up chocolate syrup below and on the side of the cup for an artsy look and chocolatier taste (Of course, better with a transparent cup or glass).

With this recipe, you can now enjoy your favorite drink not going on a café. Especially when raining, too hot outside or just too crowded and noisy going in a café. You can have your own version of Frappe too, anytime of the day.

That’s it! You can now sit and relax and enjoy your iced drink while watching movie, while reviewing in your room, or while having some snack time with the whole family.

Halloween Costume Ideas 2017

Last weekend we attended a Halloween Party for kids at Sorrel Residences, Sta. Mesa, it is celebrated annually before October ends and before November begins, the criteria is simple just wear your best Halloween costume and you can be part of their trick or treat portion, and win lots of prizes.

Here are the best costumes they worn during the celebration, it’s better to understand with story. Enjoy!

Just after we’ve arrived at Sorrel, the celebration is in its halfway; we found it in dance program already.

Here, is the setting of the Halloween Event, the background design is quite simple, some elements of Halloween: Monsters, Skeletons and Skulls, Bats, also they decorate it with Balloons and Fabrics which can be distinguished by known Halloween Colors which are usually Black, Violet, Vibrant Orange and Green. These are the main hues of Halloween.

At the Halloween Event, There are also food carts which have Halloween Decorations in it. It includes Skulls, Tridents, Axe and Especially the Pumpkins.

Before the program ends, right after the awarding the kids are grouped into 5, they are told to fall into line so that they can start soliciting candies at particular condo units, this portion is called Trick-or-Treat the program always ends with this.

Mask / Face Measurement Guide

1. Eye Brow Circumference - Starting from Eye-Brow level or just above the ear get the full measurement around the head.

2. Ear-to-Ear - Get the measurement from one side of the ear going at the center of the eyes and ending at the other side of the ear.

3. at the nose line, start at the midpoint of the two eye brows going straight down at the desired length.

4. Ocular Measurement – get the Height at Width of the eyes to get the measurement of the hole around the eyes

5. Get the desired measurement of the side face near the ear
6. Just like in number (5) get the measurement across the eye brow and eye.

HALLOWEEN IS COMING!! Are you ready? Culturally in Philippines, Filipinos do not celebrate it as much as in Americans Halloween celebration called trick or treat. But eventually we strongly adapts it, since this celebration seems fun and unknowingly it makes the community united after visiting their left loved ones, so why not.

To those who does not know yet. Halloween is celebrated by almost all ages as long as you’re in the mood. You can wear your scariest costumes, funny and cleverest ones are even possible!

Kids’ activities during Halloween were simply collecting sweets at their neighbor it’s called trick or treat, knocking at someone’s door, and loudly saying TRICK OR TREAT! The fun there is that the house owner as what I have known is, they should choose between the door knocker options, whether to trick them or hold-them up to give what they want! Indeed the sweet candies. But of course in reality, the house owners already prepared their candies ready to give-away.

Adults Halloween Celebration and activities:

Halloween celebration for adults can be in any form it might be in parties , games, fashion show, etc.

Well whatever form celebration your Halloween is, when you say COSTUME it is inevitable during this event.

At Costume Store Philippines, Halloween means EFFORT and PASSION to us as we accept a variety of customized costumes, made to order but as of now we do not have yet Halloween costumes for rentals we may sell a few products but its limited.

Believe it or not, people want the best outfit to wear in the event. People want to stand out and become an apple of the eye of the crowd for a moment. In the Philippines, there are stores that offer ready-made costumes for different events like Divisoria and costume stores that also offer a costume for rent/sale. But the only thing is that they found it mainstream, the costume is always the same all year round they become bored on how it looks over and over.

That is why some customers commissions us as we make unique costumes, will it be based from our preference design or directly from our clients. It may be a little pricy but it’s worth after you worn it.

Setback

During the Process we planned whether to separate each part of the whole costume, or make it as one whole costume. We never anticipated that if we make it as a whole we will encounter a future problem,

as we proceed we’ve decided to make the costume as one whole, we put a long zipper at the back, but as our customer tested the costume the body of the baby does not fit at the zipper . it was a failure but we learn about the mistake afterwards.

after these project we learned not just the mistake but also to carefully anticipate about future problems that we may encounter.
